Mesa, Arizona Men's CIC Chapter
Why attend Mesa Christians in Commerce?
Men attend Christians in Commerce for many reasons but fellowship with other Christian men is the biggest reason. Jesus never intended for us to live a Christ-centered life alone. We benefit greatly from a midweek spiritual hour. It jump starts our week. By gathering for one hour each week on Wednesday mornings we encourage and help one another stay focused on Christ and His call.
Life is not always easy. We experience challenges in our lives. Are you being encouraged in your faith during those difficult times? Christians in Commerce can help you navigate those challenging days and times and help you remain hopeful and committed to your spiritual journey.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE ONE HOUR MEETING ON WEDNESDAY MORNINGS?
For one hour on Wednesday mornings we pray together, sing praise songs, listen to a short talk on a specific scripture and engage in table discussions.
CIC is not a replacement for your church. Quite the contrary. Our goal is to help you experience the Holy Spirit and deepen your faith so that when you return to your church or faith community you have a deeper relationship with Jesus and are more committed to your faith and your church.
There are NO dues or costs to attend CIC. We welcome everyone from all walks of life where ever you currently are in your faith journey.
WHO CAN ATTEND?
Christians in Commerce is open to men and women of any Christian faith. We are a 28 year old ECUMENICAL Christian organization that helps men and women deeper their relationship with our Lord and Savior.
We support and invite Christian men from ALL faiths to attend and encourage the ecumenical nature of CIC.
We especially invite men who are searching for:
- More purpose in life than mere material gain.
- A christ-centered life in home and work
- A deeper understanding of the Holy Spirit.
- The friendship and fellowship of other Christian men.
While CIC has men and women's chapter's our Mesa chapter specifically caters to men. If you are searching for other Christian men who are committed to their faith, please come and visit us on Wednesday morning. We welcome men from all Christian denominations and those men who are seeking more of a faith journey.
You're welcome to join us no matter where you live or work if Wednesday mornings in Mesa are convenient for you. We issue a special invitation to our winter visitors (or any visitors to our valley) to join with us in fellowship and our faith journey for the time you are in town.
WHAT ELSE DOES CHRISTIANS IN COMMERCE DO?
Every 5th Saturday we serve the homeless at Paz de Cristo. That includes paying for the meal through the donations of our members, preparing and serving the meal. For those who have never served the homeless this service opportunity will bless you immensely.
Each December our chapter sponsors a Christmas party that has become an event that our members and their spouses/significant others greatly look forward to. A catered meal is provided, along with entertainment (DJ) with music and dancing. We also hold a raffle and silent auction during this event.
In the spring we trek up to the Prescott area for our annual challenge weekend. Up to 8 men prepare talks about the various stages and parts of our faith walk. You will be blessed to hear inspiring stories from your own peers. Meals are included, praise and worship music is provided and we carpool together.
Primarily, the best thing we do for one another is the one-hour opportunity gathering each week to jump start our faith. We invite you to come and visit us one Wednesday!
