"Christ's Love Compels Us"
October 19 - 20, 2012
“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.” Galatians 2:20
Join us as we look forward to our 30th year serving our Lord in the workplace. We’ve experienced the great love and faithfulness of our Father who sent his Son and has poured out his Holy Spirit upon us. It is this love that compels us to do more. Let this love increase in us as we come together.
Talk 1: Christ, Our Tremendous Lover
“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.” 2 Corinthians 5:14
The compelling majesty of God’s great love is demonstrated to us through his incarnation in Jesus Christ.
Talk 2: In the Grip of Love
“And, he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” 2 Corinthians 5:15
As we open ourselves up to this great love, the Holy Spirit takes hold of our hearts and transforms us, resulting in the fruits of the Spirit.
Talk 3: Christ Lives in Me
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old is gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
We are a contrast to the spirit of this age by who we are, what we do and how we do it. We are Christ to all those we encounter.
Talk 4: The Call for 2013
Our president, Terry Cassell, will share the work the Lord is doing among us and what lies ahead for our 30th year.
One in Spirit and Purpose
Think of it as our annual family reunion: a Christian conference with brothers and sisters gathering from their workplaces to support one another, share together and celebrate our life in Jesus Christ.
Every year, men and women attend this annual Christian conference with a particular focus on living the life of Christ in our workplaces. The conference provides formation and insight into balancing the workplace responsibilities and challenges of life in our homes, community and churches.
Praise · Worship · Workshops · Testimonies · Fellowship
Four workshops will be available for everyone to attend:
- Removing the obstacles to the love of God
- Fostering friendship with God
- Acquiring the Holy Spirit
- Practical ways to expand the Kingdom by being Christ
