2012 Annual Conference General Session Talks
"For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.” 2 Corinthians 5:14
The compelling majesty of God’s great love is demonstrated to us through his incarnation in Jesus Christ.
“And, he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” 2 Corinthians 5:15
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit captures our heart and we find ourselves in the grip of God’s love. In Jesus, this relationship is with a real person, where Jesus reigns and the Kingdom of God comes to life.
- In this relationship, Jesus calls us to be his disciples, to share life with him and join together to build his Kingdom.
- It is a call to our continual transformation and one that contrasts today’s society as two kingdoms clash.
- It is driven by one desire, to do the will of the Father for the love of the Father … just like Jesus.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old is gone, the new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:17
How do we live out this Jesus life, living in LOVE with all we encounter? Jesus himself tells us that HE is the way and commands us to follow him. Jesus laid out a road map for OUR life in the way he served, told stories, denounced hard nose religion and embraced practical wisdom. He was open to everyone he met: especially sinners and outsiders! I am going to share some real life stories of ways in which Jesus has revealed his plan for LOVE in my life through Christians in Commerce.
