The Call and the Challenge

What a great joy it is to observe men doing more than they ever dreamed of through the power that works within them. In our weekly meetings, men are preparing for prayer time by using the same scriptures that were foreign to them just a few years ago.
Hundreds of men in our chapters are leading and teaching in the power of the Holy Spirit. They reflect on how this would have seemed impossible before their CIC experience. This verse on power becomes our experience. We are walking in the power of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us as we go into the workplace.
As Paul says, we are now able to do more because of the power that works in us, by being a light to others in our daily living. The workplace is where we change the culture by our very presence.
Men are telling us of their own experiences; experiences in which, just by being God's men, they have helped bring a stop to cursing or dirty jokes in the workplace. Much more importantly, they tell us that when coworkers are experiencing trouble, they ask these men for prayers.
This is the call and challenge to us as members of Christians in Commerce.
