Going Public

Jim Ganther

Jeremiah 17: 7-8

Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

Give Knowledge

Sophia Norman

Matthew 28: 19-20

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.

At an event focused on art and history, the speaker addressed the issue of teenage apathy towards culture and history. Most of us in the audience were nodding our heads, assuming he would target teenagers themselves as the culprits.

Get Out of the Boat

Bill Dalgetty

Matthew 14: 28-30

Luke Cahill

Jeremiah 1:7

“… You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.

God's Business

Ken Balestrieri

Colossians 1:27

To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

In the nearly twenty years I have spent as a self-storage operator, I have witnessed situations both strange and sad. Many people have a need for storage space after a divorce, a death in the family, or a failing business, all of which are opportunities to introduce them to Christ.

Peace and Reconciliation

Steve Smith

Romans 12:18

If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

As a realtor, I often run into conflicts between buyers and sellers in the course of purchasing a home. In one recent transaction, a buyer had completed her due diligence and closed on a home that had been substantially remodeled in an older section of the city.
