Diane McGinty - Chairwoman of the Board - Gilroy/Morgan Hill Women's Chapter

Diane is a retired financial advisor. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley and has also earned a CA Lifetime Teaching Credential. Diane previously worked as a Daughters of Charity hospital mission coordinator and as the Diocese of Monterey Respect Life Commission educational program director. She was a founder of the Family Renewal Resource Center, leader of the Community Coalition for Family Values, member of the Gilroy Gang Task Force, Board of Contributors columnist for the Gilroy Dispatch, parish school board member, founding board member of Leadership Morgan Hill and Leadership Gilroy, and has also been active in the Chamber of Commerce. Diane is Past President of the Gilroy/Morgan Hill Women's Chapter. She has been married to Kevin since 1968, and they have 5 children and 11 grandchildren. Diane can be reached at

Caren Demetre - Past Chairwoman - Sacramento Women's Chapter

Caren is a real estate transaction coordinator working with her husband Doug. Together they also own and operate a national Lease Option Company. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a dual master’s degree in Career Counseling and School Counseling. She has been honored with a Fulbright Scholarship nomination. At Sacramento State University, Caren developed and implemented a certificate program for career counselors, which has been used by CSUS campuses. She also founded A Career Management Development Company (ACMD), where she worked as a consultant with major corporations doing career transitioning. She is a Past-President of the Sacramento Women’s Chapter. She has been married to Doug since 1985. Together, they have three children, nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Cathy Glover - Chairwoman Elect and Treasurer - Scottsdale Women's Chapter

Cathy has been a member of Phoenix Women's Chapters since 2001. She attended her first CIC Challenge Weekend later that year and, during that weekend, was baptized in the the Holy Spirit. Cathy joined the Phoenix Women's Chapter Service Council in 2003 and served as both Secretary and Treasurer until she was installed as President in 2010. She remained President until 2014. 

Cathy has been an active Realtor in the Phoenix area since 1999 and currently works for Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Arizona Properties. Joan Mangino - Sacramento Women's Chapter

Joan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, a Master's in Pastoral Theology and a Teaching Credential. Her love of science is complimented by her sense of wonder for creation and the Creator. Her study of scripture led her to develop a program for elementary and high school students to better know and understand their God. Joan was part of the first women’s chapter in Sacramento in 1996. She was also involved in adapting the Challenge Weekend Participants Manual for women. She has been married to Al since 1980 and is a stepmother to nine. Catherine Pingel - Secretary - South Bend/Elkhart Women's Chapter

Catherine is a member of the South Bend/Elkhart Women’s Chapter where she currently serves on the Service Council.  She credits her first exposure to Christians in Commerce to her former boss, and current CIC member, Jim Ganther (current Tampa Men’s Chapter President).

Catherine is the oldest of seven children and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.  She currently works as a commercial real estate broker and property manager in South Bend, IN.  She is active on the Trinity School at Greenlawn Alumni Committee and serves in other capacities in the People of Praise Christian community.

Sharon Rose - South Bend/Elkhart Women's Chapter

Sharon was a witness to the writing of the first Challenge Weekend as her husband, Bud, along with CIC’s two other founders, Louis Grams and John Mooney, drafted the weekend in an upper room above Mooney’s shoe store in 1983. She was a speaker for the Women's Track at CIC Annual Conferences prior to the formation of Women’s Christians in Commerce, and is a member of the South Bend/Elkhart Women's Chapter, where she currently serves on the Service Council.

Sharon has a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Mary's College in Notre Dame, IN, and was blessed in so many ways in her career teaching second grade. She has been a women's leader and done pastoral work in the People of Praise, a charismatic, ecumenical Christian covenant community, of which she and Bud have been members since 1972. They have been married for 54 years and the Lord has given them a treasure in their 6 children, their spouses, and 30 awesome grandchildren!

Kathleen Shaffer - Technology Administrator - Gilroy/Morgan Hill Women's Chapter

Kathleen became involved with Christians in Commerce in 2007 when she was invited to a weekly chapter meeting. The first CIC Conference she attended she witnessed the fierce passion these men and women have for the Lord and she was convicted to participate more fully in this organization.  She has heartily served the Lord in her local Christians in Commerce Women's Chapter as their Stewardship Designee and Treasurer and most recently on the Women's Chapter Advisory Board as their Technology Administrator. Kathleen participates in the Gilroy community through her Real Estate business, local church ministry activities, Board President for Informed Choices, and Ministry Director for the Great Steward Project. She and her husband Steve have been married 34 years; have two children and 3 grandchildren. They are leaders in Celebrate Recovery and they look forward to retirement while spending time with family, playing golf and enjoying the great outdoors. Kathleen can be reached at

Lucy Vasquez - Public Relations, Marketing and Communication - Fresno Women's Chapter

Lucy retired from education after 25 years. She considers herself a servant leader who has reached out lovingly to the broken children in Fresno, CA. She has been recognized by leading Fresno businesses, post-secondary educational institutions and the Fresno Chamber of Commerce for bringing business to education. Lucy also received two recognitions for bringing excellence to education by the Fresno Unified School District and the Fresno County of Education.

After her retirement from the school district she served in a non-profit organization providing mentoring to 400 elementary school students and 200 high school students. Lucy is the current President of the Fresno Women's Chapter and has been an active member and volunteer in her church community for over 40 years in various capacities. She has been married to Marc for almost 50 years. They have been blessed with three children and three grandchildren.
